Adoption is a loving option

At Keki’s Guinea Pig and Rabbit Rescue, we are passionate about guinea pigs and rabbits and dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming — and in some cases, lifelong sanctuary care.

Whether an animal arrives needing urgent support, ongoing medical treatment, or simply a second chance, we are here to give them the compassion and stability they deserve.

We are a non-profit rescue (CIC 16165553) based in Basingstoke, offering rescue, rehoming, boarding and sanctuary services across Hampshire, Berkshire, Kent, and Surrey.

Christmas Adoptions

Please note that we will be pausing new adoptions from 6th December for the Christmas period.

The only exceptions are homes where a guinea pig or rabbit has recently lost their companion and urgently needs a friend.

We will reopen for standard adoptions on 2nd January 2026.

Guinea Pigs Adopted

How it works?

At Keki’s Guinea Pig Rescue, we strive to make the adoption process as smooth and transparent as possible. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you understand how our adoption and rescue process works:

01.

Browse Pet Profiles

Please check our requirements for suitable accommodation – which are included in the adoption profile of all our pets. If you have any queries please just ask. You can browse and enquire about any of our animals at this point.

02.

Submit Application

Once you have the right accommodation, please complete the adoption form. We will then arrange for a home visit (this is £10.00 – deductible from the final adoption balance). A deposit is required to reserve specific animals.

03.

Arrange Collection Date

Once we have completed our home checks and approved your set-up we can arrange a time and date for you to collect your new furry friend(s).

04.

Adoption Day!

Please pay the final balance at least 24 hours prior to collection of your new furry friend(s).  You’ll need a suitable carrier to collect – and please note we do not allow adoptions to go ahead without the full balance being paid.

Adopt a pet

Adopting a guinea pig or rabbit from us is a rewarding experience that brings joy to both you and your new furry friend.
