6-year-old guinea pig | Sanctuary Resident
Hello, I’m Bandit. I’m a 6-year-old gentleman guinea pig who came to Keki’s after sadly losing my partner. I wasn’t coping very well on my own, so the rescue stepped in to make sure I felt safe and supported.
I now live with one of the rescue’s wonderful fosters, alongside several other elderly gentleman piggies just like me. It’s the perfect place for me to enjoy companionship, comfort, and a peaceful retirement.
I may be a senior, but I’m quite fit for my age — and I’m often told I have the softest ears! Like any piggy, I absolutely love my food. My favourites are basil, mint, lettuce, and fennel (I get very excited at veggie time!).
As an older boy, I’ll be staying in sanctuary where I can continue to receive the care and companionship I need.
Why I Need Sponsorship 
As a senior guinea pig, I require ongoing care, monitoring, and a calm, stable environment to ensure I stay happy and comfortable in my retirement.
Sponsorship helps the rescue cover the costs of:
- Daily food, hay, and fresh vegetables (especially my favourites!)
- Bedding and enrichment
- Routine health checks and preventative care
- Ongoing sanctuary and foster support
