Meet Lavender 💜
Guinea pig | Sanctuary Resident
Hello, I’m Lavender. Some of you may already know me from the rescue’s recent posts.
I was rescued after one of Keki’s wonderful supporters saw an advert where I was being given away for free due to an eye condition. Thankfully, the rescue stepped in to help me, and I’m now safe and receiving the care I need.
Although I was already blind in one eye, the team here is doing everything possible to help my injured eye heal, so I can retain as much vision as possible. I’m happy to say that my condition is improving every day, thanks to lots of care and support.
Why I Need Sponsorship
My eye injury requires ongoing veterinary treatment, medication, and monitoring to support healing and keep me comfortable. While the incredible support from donors has helped cover much of my treatment so far, I will be staying in the sanctuary, where my condition can continue to be closely monitored.
Sponsorship helps cover:
Ongoing veterinary care and medication
Regular health checks and monitoring
Daily food, hay, bedding, and enrichment
Specialist care to support my recovery
Once I’m fully healed, I’ll be introduced to some new sanctuary friends, so I won’t be on my own.
What It Means to Sponsor Me
By sponsoring me, you’re helping to provide my ongoing care and recovery in a safe, supportive environment. Sponsorship is a wonderful way to support an animal with medical needs who requires long-term sanctuary care.
You can sponsor me for just £5 per month, and every contribution helps ensure I continue to receive the treatment and comfort I need, as well as the general running of the rescue.
What’s Included in Sponsorship
As my sponsor, you’ll receive:
A sponsorship certificate
Regular updates about how I’m doing
The opportunity to visit me and my sanctuary friends twice a year (by arrangement)
The knowledge that you’re making a real difference to helping me stay comfortable and well cared for.
Sponsor Lavender 🐹

Thank you for helping to keep me safe and loved
