Meet Sandy
Guinea Pig | Sanctuary Resident | Sponsorship Available 💚
Hello, I’m Sandy. I’m a friendly guinea pig who first came to Keki’s Guinea Pig & Rabbit Rescue in April 2025 when my owners were sadly no longer able to keep me after downsizing their home.
I was quickly rehomed and settled into my new life. Sadly, I returned to the rescue in April 2026 after losing my cage mate. When I came back, I needed a little extra care and attention, and it was decided that, due to my age and circumstances, I would remain here in the sanctuary where I can enjoy a safe, comfortable retirement.
I’m a lovely, friendly girl who always comes over to the shed when it’s time for vegetables. These days, I’m enjoying life with my sanctuary friends and receiving all the care I need.
Why I Need Sponsorship
As an older guinea pig, I benefit from ongoing care, monitoring, and a stable environment where my needs can be met as I enjoy my retirement years. Sponsorship helps the rescue cover the costs of:
- Daily food, hay, and fresh vegetables
- Comfortable bedding and enrichment
- Regular health checks and monitoring
- Ongoing care and support as I grow older
Your support helps ensure I can continue to live a happy, safe, and comfortable life here at the sanctuary.
What It Means to Sponsor Me
By sponsoring me, you’re helping to provide my long-term care and daily needs. Sponsorship is a wonderful way to support a guinea pig who deserves a loving retirement and the very best care.
You can sponsor me for just £5 per month, and every penny goes directly towards my care and the running of the rescue.
What’s Included in Sponsorship
As my sponsor, you’ll receive:
A sponsorship certificate
Regular updates about how I’m doing
The opportunity to visit me and my sanctuary friends twice a year (by arrangement)
The knowledge that you’re making a real difference to helping me stay comfortable and well cared for
